Cleveland Construction’s Dave Collins Earns Safety Management Professional Credential
Cleveland Construction is proud to announce that Dave Collins, Director of Corporate Safety, has earned the Safety Management Professional (SMP) designation from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).
The SMP credential is awarded to experienced safety professionals who demonstrate advanced knowledge in managing safety programs and policies across organizations. It is intended for individuals whose primary responsibilities include the oversight, implementation, and leadership of safety management systems. For Dave to even qualify to sit for the SMP exam, candidates had to provide verifiable documentation of at least 10 years of professional safety experience.
Dave鈥檚 path to this achievement began before earning his SMP. In 2024, he was awarded the Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) designation from BCSP, showcasing his technical expertise and dedication to jobsite-level safety practices. Now, with the addition of the SMP designation, Dave holds the top safety management credential the BCSP offers 鈥� a reflection of his leadership and commitment to providing safe jobsites.
