Cleveland Construction, Inc. managed聽the construction of a new custom聽TownePlace Suites by Marriott located聽in the downtown medical center area of聽Orlando, Florida.聽
This 6-story, 73,000 square-foot聽masonry and precast plank hotel聽facility was built on a 1.18-acre site聽and consists of 110 guestrooms with聽various support functions.聽
Public spaces on the ground floor feature聽custom finishes and include a guest lobby聽with lounges, a breakfast room with聽communal areas, a full service bar, food聽preparation areas, restrooms, a fitness聽center, and an outdoor swimming pool.聽
Back-of-house service areas on the聽ground floor level include a laundry聽facility, sales offices, an employee聽breakroom, and storage, electrical, and聽maintenance spaces.聽
The project also consisted of a range of聽site improvements, including asphalt聽parking lots with controlled gate access,聽landscaping, sidewalks, concrete pavers聽at the entrance of the hotel, and site聽lighting.
Another unique feature is that the access control and public spaces will be shared with the neighboring Hampton Inn, also owned by HG Management. Construction on the new hotel began in March 2019 and was completed in August 2020.
